African American Heritage Keys to Self-Care

Wednesday and Thursdays

6:30 - 8:30 pm

This a nine-week course consists of consciousness-raising topics for people of African heritage concerning the interrelatedness of loss of cultural identify, economic dependency, and personal crisis.

Saturday Day School

10:00 am - Noon

Saturday Day School is an opportunity for people of African heritage to be exposed to the languages, foods, and customs of their people from around the world. It is an activity centered on reawkening the memory of African people to their natural way of being, which provides the path to self-love and self-acceptance.

The Intellectual Heritage of African People

Saturdays

Noon - 2:00

This class has been designed to reconnect people of African heritage to their most devasting loss: awareness of their intellectual heritage. Participants study books written by Cultural Wellness Center elders.

16 Elders gathered in our St. Paul Center, to discuss the economic legacy of the black community and the vision for the future.

 

 

The Business Resource Center (BRC)

Open Everyday 9:00 - 5:00

The BRC consists of 12 computers for business-related Internet use for community residents interested in small business ownership or conducting a job search. Call Mark at 651-717-4960 for more information.
